The scratching of I Am Adonis opens this up. Consistent mare MAQUISA (8) continued her fine run of recent form when in the money over 6 ¾f at Wyong last time out. Wasn't beaten far in town prior to that. Only needs to hold this performance level to be a key runner again. MISS CAPITALE (9) appreciated the small step up in trip last start when she led but just failed to hang on over 6 ½f at Illawarra Grange. Honest mare who will give a great sight again at her first try over today's journey. JACOB'S LADDER (4) pulled up with the thumps at Warwick Farm recently in a run to put the pen through. Best figures stack up so don't rule him out. RACH (12) wasn't far away at Wyong last time and from a good gate is a sound each-way hope. SISTER DAAE (18) loves the sting out of the ground and comes to hand quickly so she is a threat first-up from a spell.
