Blinkers applied today and should stalk the speed and prove hard to hold out. RAWTION (5) resumed over the unsuitable trip when a plugging fifth over 6 ½f at this track. Can race a touch closer from the good draw and take a hand in the finish. SO REBELLIOUS (6) comes to the provincials for the first time after the two eye-catching runs this preparation. Strong through the line from the outside draw when third over 7f at Nowra. Value contender. SERPICO (9) back in grade and up in trip when an improved sixth over 1m at Kembla Grange. Key jockey change and will roll forward and play a leading role.

A pari-mutuel pool – typically a show pool - where one horse is so heavily bet that after deductions there is not enough money left to cover the prescribed minimum on each bet.
