Verdict

CAPTAIN HANLEY hasn't had things go entirely his way since bumping into a subsequent winner on his Clonmel hurdling debut and could well be the answer arriving on the back of a creditable effort on the Flat. The drop in trip is a concern for Facile Ocean given how he's been shaping but he still has leading claims on form nonetheless. Newcomer Digby Bridge also warrants a close look in the betting.

Fair maiden at best on the Flat and matched that level when runner-up on hurdling debut in a Clonmel maiden (2½m) in May. Better than the bare result on both completed starts over hurdles since and arrives on the back of a creditable Flat effort. Respected.

Yard has enjoyed success with this family and he's been placed on all 3 starts over hurdles (fair form), latterly in 15-runner maiden here (19f) 15 days ago. Has leading form claims but this drop in trip is unlikely to suit.
