AMAZING GAZE (5) is knocking on the door of a maiden win, finishing off strongly to be 0.5L off the winner at this track and trip last time out. He now gets Purton in the saddle from a good draw and he may be able to settle a touch closer. He shouldn't be a maiden for much longer. FORTUNE STAR (8) jumped the race favourite last start and went right back from the draw, finishing 1.5L off the winner when closing quickly. Blinkers go on now for the first time and while he's still a maiden, he has shown good ability. Expecting him to be closing strongly once more. ACE WAR (10) missed narrowly two back before a 1.5L defeat last time out. Likely to get back from the barrier once again, but he's racing well and looks a big chance down in the handicap. AMAZING AWARD (3) wasn't beaten fat last time out and that form has worked out well. Has to be included from an inside alley.
