Verdict

MIGHTY STEED (1) has his hoof firmly on the till after a couple of excellent recent efforts in similar races to this. Did some work to sit outside the leader then tried hard but was edged out at the latest appearance a fortnight ago. Great chance to go one better. MEGA MASTERMIND (3) led for the judge but found one better when attempting back-to-back wins over the Sha Tin mile last time out. Progressive three-year-old who will probably lead and is going to be very tough to reel in. DASHING MAURISON (10) stepped up to 1 ?m last start and opened his account with an emphatic win at this circuit. Back in trip and up in grade but he is starting to put things together and should run another big race. ACE POWER (7) has been finding the line well without threatening in recent runs, all at 6f. Ready to make his mark with what looks a suitable step up in trip. LAKESHORE HERO (12) did his best work at the end of 6f on the all-weather at Sha Tin last Wednesday. In contention.
