MCLAUREY failed to fire at Naas recently but clearly didn't give his running that day and this relatively quick turnaround would suggest that all is well with the 7-y-o. He was a winner of a listed handicap over hurdles last season and had shaped well on his first two starts over fences, leaving the impression that there is better to come from him in this sphere. He's Gorgeous is respected back at a more realistic level having contested a Grade 1 novice last time, while Karafon also has claims.
