KODIAC BEAR (1) has the form on the board, and both of his starts this prep have been very encouraging. He may also be looking for more ground, but in this field he should get away with it. Hard to beat. BEE PRECIOUS (6) set the pace and went for home a long way out when weakening late to finish a game runner-up here 2 weeks ago. She slides back into her rightful maiden class and could well take them all the way this time. PINKY PIE (8) trekked South to Riccarton for her first run from the Suzy Gordon stable and after racing too keenly in front, she stopped to finish sixth. She strips fitter and can make amends in this. ALL IN VAIN (4) needed his fresh-up run here nearly 4 weeks ago, and he should be a lot more competitive this time.
