ROM BARO (7) drew on the back row and worked but fought well for second at his most recent outing here, beaten a head. The driver has some work to do from this wide starting position but he strokes at 50 per cent at this shorter distance and is up to winning this with even luck. IMON (8) enjoys a class drop after tackling the West Wyalong Cup last start. Toughed out a win at this circuit and distance prior so deserves another chance despite a wide draw. THE WICKED WARRIOR (1) was a beaten favourite when midfield here last start but did have to work. Good when a close second from the second row two back and is well served by the ace draw. RANGER RON (3) finished third when resuming here last week. Draws lower and should strip fitter.
