PALLADIUM (6) is a newcomer to the Brad Hewitt yard from NZ where he was last seen scoring by 2.2 metres at Central Southland a month ago. Lightly raced with upside and is a big chance to kick off in Australia on a winning note. MIKIBEQUICK (9) missed by just a neck two runs ago at Canberra then went well again last time at this circuit and distance, clocking in third in a higher-graded race. Should enjoy a pretty soft run from this draw and the sprint lane is in play. Looks close to a win. KUALIGHT (1) goes up in grade but has been very consistent with a string of wins or placings from wider barriers so is well served by the inside barrier. SCHEMING (2) owns a decent record at this circuit and distance and has been close-up in her last two outings. She draws to be competitive again.
