NOIVERN (1) led and was rundown late at Riccarton 2 back then worked forward inside the leader, briefly hit the lead and fought well for 3rd here last start. Placed 11 of 26 starts. Can break through here. GIVEMEADANCE (11) caught wide without cover and loomed up but battled late on debut in June then led when beaten 4L at Oamaru in July. Has ability and can improve here. BUCKET LIST (2) not far away in any of his 6 starts over more ground. Comes in fresh since April without a trail and drops to 6f for new stable could do the trick here. MACKENZIE LASS (9) well beaten in her first two starts on heavy tracks but sat wide and charged home to score at the trials on a good track recently. Conditions important. AMPTHILL (3) hasn't been seen in public since leading throughout in a Foxton trial in December. Watch for betting moves.
