NZ - Ashburton - Race 3

SHAWSHANK (2) led them up and was swamped in the Ashburton Cup last start after similar in the TAB Mile Prelude at Riccarton. A wet track helps his chances greatly. STONYBRECK (1) got back and made ground for 6th in the TAB Mile Prelude when fresh the snagged back and shuffled to last turn in the Ashburton Cup last start. Nine race winner, well placed in this. SEFTON (6) has a good record this track and trip with a win and placing from 3 attempts. Fitter for a strong trial win at Timaru recently. Respect. RICHARD STOMPER (3) has won both his starts this track and trip and has a win and 3 placings from 6 first-up runs. Quiet trial recently but worth thought. DIMAGGIO (4) has got back in the last couple in both starts this prep over 6f and 7f and has run on far too late. Up to his best distance now could prompt improvement.
