Verdict

SHE SMASHES (2) is a four-year-old mare who is having her first run for the Bevan Johnson yard. Most recently finished in the placings at Pakenham Synthetic before going for a break. Not seen at the trials but is nicely placed and the betting will be key. CORVALIST (3) turned in a fine effort to win by 2.5L this course and distance to continue his outstanding recent form. Faces a similar assignment and will be hard to beat again. LUCKY NEKO (7) switched from a NSW yard and needed the first-up outing. She's proven second-up and her best efforts would have her right in the finish. DANCE WIZZARD (1) has been threatening another win and has a better gate today. A 7lbs claimer goes aboard in easier grade and he can't be ruled out.
