ZAVEGA (13) started this prep with a win two runs ago. Fair effort last time out when prominent at the turn before winding up in fourth over 5 ½f at Ipswich, beaten a length. Peaking now and looks the one to beat from the favourable inside alley. IRISH JIG (3) finished out of the money but was not too far away when resuming last start over 6f at Quirindi. Has a high cruising speed and will give them something to catch. ANDALE ANDALE (2) couldn't quite keep up with them in town at the latest but will find this much easier. Drops back to a winning trip off a 45-day freshen and gets a great chance to atone. IMPERIAL STATE (4) turned in a nice effort second-up when finishing in the placings over this trip at Quirindi. Nearing his peak now and rates among the main chances.
