Verdict

SHAKESPEARE'S GIRL (10) raced on the speed but her condition gave out and she finished a well-beaten third when resuming for new trainer Patrick Cleave over this distance at Scone last start. Will take a lot from that hit-out and in a maiden that looks to have less quality she gets her chance. CHASING QUIVERS (6) led but found the winner far too good last time out over today's journey at Tamworth. Has now been in the money six times in 18 starts. Will go forward and is a nice each-way option. SORUTAL (7) had to do some early work and consequently tired over the latter stages of a 6 ½f Gunnedah maiden last start. That followed a five-week break so she will strip fitter for this. BURNING AMBITION (4) was easily accounted for first-up at Rosehill but will find this far easier.
