I'M NELSON (3) stepped up quickly to 1m last start at Doomben and did well to be beaten just under two lengths after travelling on the pace all the way. Coped with the soft track on that occasion and has won in the going before. Carries a similar weight today in a weaker race - ideally placed to return to winning ways. ALWAYS A RAINBOW (2) missed the placings for the first time this prep when he struggled to make up ground in a Class 3 over 7f at Eagle Farm four weeks ago. Loves soft tracks and faces a massive drop in grade today. Clear danger. ENDLESS APPLAUSE (6) started favourite but may have found the jump from 7f to 1 ?m too much last start at Port Macquarie. Cherry ripe after three runs back and suited back at the mile. TRALEE (7) won two on the trot then made an early move and kept coming to grab third last time out over this distance at Coonamble. In the mix again. ABRAHAM (1) has won two from four at this trip and can improve on recent efforts.
