TEXAS (15) is one of the main chances if you can forgive his Eagle Farm run last time when racing wide throughout and dropping right out. His previous Gold Coast second was a much better guide. BRAZEN ACT (1) has been off the scene for over a year but won a Doomben trial last month, and has always hinted at holding some ability. Has the apprentice claim to help offset the 132lbs. In the mix. FIELD OF CLANS (11) is another fresh runner with appeal, trialling well before this return after being well-supported on debut at Rockhampton, where she began awkwardly and still made some late ground without threatening. HILLS OF MINTO (2) showed positive signs in his debut prep and can make his presence felt fresh.
