LISTEN JANI (6) was denied the maiden win by a whisker when fresh from a spell over 5 ½f at Doomben two back. Looked to have every chance but just missed the placings last start over today's course and distance. Should bounce back and gets her chance to open the account. KING'S COIN (5) started public elect at $3.10 on debut over 5 ½f at Beaudesert 17 days ago but finished fourth in a very busy finish. Should take a lot from that experience and an extra ½f won't harm his chances. BEAT THE RAP (1) led for the judge and tried hard but found a couple better over today's track and trip when facing the starter for the first time recently. Ran about two lengths quicker than Listen Jani on the same card. Big threat. Recent Gold Coast trial winner KIAVELA (10) is back from an 18-week spell. Showed glimpses of ability in the maiden campaign. Must be considered. BODYSNATCHER (11) has been okay in two runs this prep. Goes fast and will give them something to catch.
