Verdict

Very little depth to this maiden so despite being five months between runs MASHEAN (9) is clearly the one to beat at her first run under new trainer Adam Campton. Opened last prep with a placing at Canberra then recorded a peak rating when narrowly defeated over 5 ½f at Goulburn. Recent Gold Coast trial winner who should have a bit on these. OLIVERJOHNNY (3) has been comfortably beaten in his two runs to date, both at Eagle Farm. Finds a race many lengths weaker today so a better result is likely. LUMINOUS GIRL (8) finished ninth but was less than two lengths from the winner in a hectic finish over 5 ½f at Beaudesert last time. Showed pace that day so coming back to this distance should suit. Can run a bold race. ITZAJUNGLEOUTTHERE (7) has been kept fresh since a decent return over this trip at Kilcoy five weeks ago. Sure to be thereabouts. CANDLE IN THE WIND (1) can improve at his second race start with winkers going on.
