Matt Dunn-trained TRIBECA STAR (2) ran on strongly to just miss last start over 6 ¾f at Doomben. Was luckless as a $2.3F in the Ballina Cup prior and with the 4lbs claim is well placed to win. NOBLE DECREE (6) peaks and is a threat. Placed at Doomben this trip heavily bet and then just missed at another short quote over a mile at the Sunshine Coast. Comes back to the sprint with the blinkers on for the first time. Thompson is a key jockey engagement replacing the apprentice. LIBERTY STEPS (3) has been nudged out at the Sunshine Coast in his last two and was caught wide last time. He can make the finish again. ZOOLOGY (5) will be more competitive than the form line suggests. He's been competing in tougher races over a mile and it wouldn't overly surprise if he was running into it.
