DOWN UNDER STUNNAH (2) gets the top billing after going close in a CL2 at this venue. Has gotten better the further she's stretched this prep and should be ready to fire fourth-up out to this trip. BACKHANDER (1) brings winning form from Dubbo, having led throughout in a BM58. Thompson's booking is a big push for his chances, and he'll likely be looking to find the front again to run them along. MAKAMAE (5) closed off well on heavy ground in a BM65 at the Sunny Coast and is fitter than most, though she must convert that honest recent form into a win at this trip. LORD PROTECTOR (7) was no match for an impressive winner last time at the Gold Coast but he still chased soundly for second, and his two runs prior were right up to scratch. No reason he can't make his presence felt.
