CHEERFUL CAT (13) needed it first up and then did a good job beaten a head over 1 ?m here on the turf. Doubt the switch to the turf will be an issue, and he has scope for more improvement. Will finish hard and can get the job done. CHAYSE 'N' LEISA (6) peaks off two wins at the track over the 7 ¾f. He races forward and looks capable of taking the next step. BEST COFFEE (5) was back to his best winning a 60 at the Sunshine Coast over 7f. First try on synthetic today but is worth following up. BIRMINGHAM (2) turned the form around winning here this grade/trip. He's been freshened and the 7lbs claim assists again in the weight department. Has to be considered. FOREVER FORTUNE (8) has a 7lbs claim today and won't be far away.
