Verdict

PANELLI (7) has come back in career-best form for new mentor Gayna Williams. Just missed first-up at Dubbo then relished a step up in trip when a dominant maiden winner over 6 ½f at the same circuit last start. No reason he cannot hold that form in this deeper race. FALSTAFFIAN (2) is the interesting runner. Formerly with Price/Kent and now under the care of Joe Cleary. Scored a big win three back at Geelong then lost his way. The stable likes a bet so keep an eye out for market moves. NIELSEN PARK (5) stalked the pace then went home a shade too well recently in a 6 ¼f Gunnedah maiden. Heading the right way although a poor gate makes things tougher. LUMA LIGHT (3) failed to fire when resuming on a heavy track at Gosford 24 days ago. Has never placed in three first-up runs so no alarm bells. Far better placed this time. WOLF ISLAND (8) caught the eye over 6f at Goulburn last time. Doesn't win out of turn but this looks a suitable assignment.
