MODERNIST (10) went up to the Gold Coast on debut in a strong race where she didn't feature despite trialling well. This is much easier than that event and she'll be fitter for two trials coming in. Takes on the older horses here, but looks a classy customer and can resume on a winning note. MAYPORT (6) was solid on debut in good time at Moruya when beaten by a smart one over 4 ?f. She'll be better for that effort and the inside draw can see her right in the mix for Guymer. Can put her best foot forward. BEDDA MIA (9) is better than she showed last start when beaten 1.9L on the Turf course here. She's trialled well since then and a return to her best form can see her right in the mix. XTRASCENT (1) gets the Blinkers on for the first time today and was strong on debut at Corowa. Needs a touch of luck from the draw but won't be far away. STO PATOMA (4) has claims at this level first-up.
