Verdict

READY TIGER (7) had been building to a win and it came last start in a Class 3 at Townsville where he scrambled home after racing on the speed all the way. Drops 3kgs today in a sub-standard open handicap. Big chance to go back-to-back. PEROVIC (5) settled well back and was no match for John Joseph when they clashed at Townsville recently. The winner of three from six at Cairns so the change in venue might see that gap close a little. KUREDER (1) has failed to land a blow in two runs this prep. Usually starts to find form third-up so a better run is on the cards. ELLA TE AMA (2) has struggled of late but today's step up in distance should spark an improvement. CHOIR BOY (4) from a good draw is next best after finding form at his last couple.
