Fantasy Football: 3 Tight End Streamer Options for Week 14

Tight end, as the kids say, is a wasteland.

Of all the positions in fantasy football, tight end has consistently been the most volatile. It's gotten to the point where we're lucky to have even a handful of tight ends we can rely on week to week.

This year is no different. Unless you were one of the lucky few to nab a top option at the position, you'll likely be scouring the waiver wire in search of a diamond in the rough.

However, just because you punted on the tight end position doesn't mean you've punted on your team as a whole.

Streaming tight end is a real, and effective, strategy -- you just have to know where to look.

That's where I come in, giving you three tight end streamers to target each and every week of the 2023 NFL season. All of these guys should be available in the majority of 12-team leagues and at the very least possess value for the upcoming week.

Week 14 Tight End Streamers

Gerald Everett, Los Angeles Chargers

Gerald Everett has caught four passes each of the past two weeks, notching 43 and then 44 yards, respectively.

A touchdown propelled him to a TE5 finish (12.3 points) in Week 12, but he still managed 6.4 half-PPR points in Week 13.

That's not anything crazy, but it's not nothing.

Per Fantasy Life, Everett only saw a 12% target share over that span.

That's not ideal, but his 23% target per route run rate (TPRR) last week has me bullish on more production going forward. The Los Angeles Chargers are desperate for playmakers, and Everett's no stranger to spike weeks.

The matchup doesn't get much better in Week 14.

Everett's Chargers take on the Denver Broncos this week. Denver is among the most fantasy-friendly defenses for opposing tight ends, having allowed an average of 7.9 targets (fifth), 6.2 receptions (fourth), and 71 yards (first) per game, per Pro Football Reference.

That's culminated in a league-high 13.0 fantasy points allowed per game.

It's a relatively strong tight end week overall, but if you need a streamer with double-digit upside, Gerald Everett has a mouth-watering matchup.

Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens

Perhaps the Baltimore Ravens' Week 13 bye put a damper on the Isaiah Likely hype.

Although he caught four of six targets for 40 yards in Baltimore's first game sans Mark Andrews, Likely is still available in a majority of leagues.

I'd expect that to change after Week 14, and savvy managers should feel confident utilizing Likely's services in his matchup with the Los Angeles Rams.

The Rams have allowed 7.3 targets (10th), 5.1 receptions (13th), and 60.5 yards (sixth) per game to the position. Coupled with the six touchdowns they've allowed (third-most), and it's no wonder L.A. has given up the third-most fantasy points per game to tight ends.

Baltimore is also at home this week where they've averaged 30.7 points per game (third). Along with their 25.5-point implied team total, the Ravens should have ample opportunities to score.

That bodes well for Likely -- especially after strong utilization in Week 12. Despite his modest fantasy output, Likely still ran a route on 83% of dropbacks and saw a 14% target share. His target share leaves something to be desired, but simply being on the field for such a high-scoring offense lends itself to fantasy production.

Isaiah Likely is someone you can pick up and stream in Week 14, but he also has the potential to be a weekly starter going forward.

Brevin Jordan, Houston Texans

With Dalton Schultz ruled out for last week, backup tight end Brevin Jordan was a sneaky streamer given their advantageous matchup with the Broncos.

But then Tank Dell went down mid-game. Suddenly, Jordan was thrust into a primary receiving role for a Houston Texans team averaging the second-most passing yards (275.2) per game.

The results were, overall, solid. Jordan caught three of his four targets for 64 yards. He finished second on the team in target share (19%) and third in route rate (74%). His 7.9 half-PPR points were good enough to finish inside the top 12 at the position.

But that's not exactly new for the 23-year-old. As a rookie in 2021, Jordan finished as a top 12 tight end three times in just eight games. Among Texans, Jordan was PFF's highest-graded receiving tight end that season -- just as he is this season.

It's a limited sample, but Jordan's 1.70 yards per route run this season ranks eighth among tight ends with at least 10 targets.

He's been productive when given the opportunity and has a nice matchup in Week 14.

Houston travels east to take on the New York Jets this week. New York features a fearsome secondary, but they've quietly been vulnerable to opposing tight ends. Against the position, the Jets have given up 10.1 fantasy points per game (11th) and seven touchdowns, tied for the most in football.

The Texans aren't going to stop throwing just because Tank Dell is out. C.J. Stroud should lean on his young tight end this week, so he's a viable streamer even if Schultz returns.
