France vs. Poland Analysis

France has four points through two matches but have yet to really give us an A+ performance. That hasn't impacted their long-term tourney outlook, though, as they are still the favorite, listed at +340 odds to win Euro 2024.

On expected goals (xG), per FBRef's model, France has come out on top in both of their matches, besting Austria 2.0-0.8 and the Netherlands 1.4-0.5, playing the Dutch without Kylian Mbappe, who is expected to be available for this one.

Poland is the only team in the tournament with zero points through two matches, falling to Austria by a 3-1 score after dropping a 2-1 result to the Netherlands in their opener.

Poland's xG numbers, however, don't look too bad. Through two games, they've amassed 2.9 xG and allowed 3.4 xG.

France vs. Poland Prediction

Opta's model heavily skews toward the French, giving France win odds of 73.9%.

MasseyRatings isn't nearly as bullish on France but still likes them to win, projecting France to win 55% of the time.

Going by those models, the Euro 2024 odds at FanDuel Sportsbook may be overvaluing France a bit. The -370 moneyline implies win odds of 78.7%.
