NHL Prop Bets

Alex DeBrincat To Score a Goal (+170)

The Detroit Red Wings have a strong 3.56 implied goal total against the Columbus Blue Jackets in what should be a winnable game.

The Wings are in the middle of an extremely close Eastern Conference Wild Card race and simply have to be picking up wins against weaker teams. Their offense has to show up, and that's what brings me to Alex DeBrincat.

DeBrincat is on the first forward line and the first power-play, which has led to him to rack up 27 shots on goal over his last 10 games but just a single goal. That goal came 10 games ago, so he has no goals and 22 shots on goal over his last nine games.

He has a great matchup to finally find the back of the net, as the Blue Jackets have allowed 3.02 Goals per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations, which is the ninth-worst in the league since the start of March.

The Blue Jackets are also in the bottom 10 for Total Shot Attempts Allowed (62.72) in the same situations over the same time. This should be a Red Wings offensive onslaught tonight, and DeBrincat is primed for a goal.

David Pastrnak Over 4.5 Shots on Goal (+100)

With a great matchup, David Pastrnak should be able to pile up the shots on goal tonight.

Pastrnak leads the entire NHL with 331 shots on goal this season, which is good for 4.7 per game. He's coming off a game where he recorded just a single shot on goal, but he should be back at his normal level tonight versus the Ottawa Senators.

Since the start of March, the Senators' defense has allowed 64.53 Total Shot Attempts per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations, which is the fourth-worst in the league.

With Pastrnak seeing his normal time on the first forward line and the first power-play unit, there should be nothing slowing him down tonight.

Zach Hyman Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (-104)

In another bounce-back spot, Zach Hyman and the Edmonton Oilers will look to pour on the offense against the Montreal Canadiens.

Hyman leads the Oilers with 229 shots on goal, putting him at 3.6 per game, giving us a high level of consistency. Hyman is another top skater coming off a game where he had just a single shot on goal, making him a clear target for tonight.

He has 31 shots on goal in his last 10 games while being on both the top forward line and the top power-play unit.

The Canadiens continue to be one of the worst defensive teams having allowed the seventh-most (63.56) Total Shot Attempts per 60 minutes in five-on-five situations since the start of March.

A massive 4.16 implied goal total for the Oilers should put them in the driver's seat for this game, with Hyman playing a main factor.
