Would You Rather: Own Miles Sanders, Jordan Howard or Jay Ajayi for Rest of Fantasy Football Season

The Philadelphia Eagles backfield has been known to be a revolving door under Doug Pederson, rotate players and functioning as a full-on committee. With this type of coaching style, who is the best one Eagles running back to own for fantasy football — Miles Sanders, Jordan Howard or Jay Ajayi?

Howard has served as the early-down and short-yardage rusher for Philadelphia this season. He leads the team in both rushing yards (525) and rushing touchdowns (6), while also adding 10 catches for another 69 yards and a touchdown. However, a shoulder injury left him inactive in Week 11 against the New England Patriots.
Ajayi, a former Eagle, was signed last week with Howard hurt and Darren Sproles ruled out for the rest of the season, adding another body crowd this backfield. Ajayi's skill set can be most compared to Howard's in this backfield, running the ball between the tackles while not contributing much as a receiver. He did not see any work in Week 11, but as he gets back up to speed, he is a threat to cut into Howard's volume.
The rookie Sanders may have to safest role. He is the most electric player in the backfield, with the ability to crack a big play from anywhere. He is also the team's receiving back, catching 24 passes for 314 yards and a touchdown, while running for 374 yards and a touchdown. Sproles' absence stands to benefit Sanders the most, and he also served as a workhorse with Howard on the shelf last week.
Miles Sanders looks like a different ball carrier than earlier in the season as far as vision, instincts and decisiveness.

With the most upside, the clearest role and the potential to serve as a workhorse if Howard misses any more time, Sanders is the most valuable fantasy asset in the Philly backfield.
He sits at RB24 in our Week 12 PPR fantasy football rankings as the Eagles take on the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.
