Fantasy Football Playoffs Advice
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 16 NFC showdown.
Sony Michel Fantasy
Start Sony Michel, RB, Los Angeles Rams: Sony Michel is here to stay as the Rams' workhorse rusher. After seeing 47 combined touches across two starts with Darrell Henderson Jr. sidelined, Michel impressed with 115 yards from scrimmage on 20 touches in Tuesday's game. Henderson, meanwhile, saw just 8 touches in his first game back. Conditioning was likely a factor, but it's clear Sean McVay values the tough running Michel brings. The Rams could lean on the run to keep the Vikings' playmakers off of the field, and Michel has proven he's capable of carrying the load.
Justin Jefferson Fantasy
Start Justin Jefferson, WR, Minnesota Vikings: Justin Jefferson turned 4 catches in Week 15 into 47 yards and a touchdown. It was another productive outing for the red-hot wideout, who's averaging 11.6 targets, 6.8 receptions and 112.0 yards per game over his last five contests. The Rams' secondary presents a major test, but the likely return of Adam Thielen will help prevent LA from focusing in on Jefferson. The stud second-year player has helped lead managers to the playoffs, and now's not the time to start doubting him.
Darrell Henderson Jr. Fantasy
Sit Darrell Henderson Jr., RB, Los Angeles Rams: Darrell Henderson faces an uphill battle to reclaim his role as the lead back in the Rams' offense. Henderson averaged a healthy 18.0 opportunities (14.2 rushes plus 3.8 targets) per game before being inactive in Weeks 13 and 14. Henderson recorded just 6 rushes, 2 targets and a season-low 27% snap rate in his return, which should prompt series worries about his involvement going forward. Henderson could be relegated to the change-of-pace back for LA, which makes him too hard to trust in a now-limited role.
K.J. Osborn Fantasy
Sit K.J. Osborn, WR, Minnesota Vikings: The Vikings' offensive struggles hurt K.J. Osborn's numbers in Week 15. He finished with just 5.1 PPR points after hitting at least 14.0 in back-to-back games. Osborn has found scoring success with Adam Thielen sidelined, recording 2 TDs in his past three games. Now Thielen is on track to return, though, presenting a major obstacle for Osborn's production. Osborn averaged just 2.4 targets in the five games before Thielen got injured, so it's hard to see him finding much success if the latter is back, especially against a unit that ranks No. 7 in Football Outsiders' pass-defense DVOA metric.
