The Week 12 waiver wire is pretty ugly. There aren't going to be any league winners, but you can still add some guys that can make an impact in Week 12.

Here are the top waiver wire pickups for fantasy football heading into Week 12 (pending Monday Night Football).

Week 12 Waiver Wire

Note: Only players rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! fantasy football leagues are eligible for this list.

5. Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, WR, Tennessee Titans (0% Rostered)

With Julio Jones out, Marcus Johnson looked poised to make an impact as the Tennessee Titans WR2. But he left Week 11 with a hamstring injury, thrusting Nick Westbrook-Ikhine into the spotlight. He turned that role into 8 targets, 7 receptions and 107 yards against the Houston Texans. Westbrook-Ikhine is nothing more than a desperation WR4 play against the New England Patriots this week, but he's a name worth monitoring.

4. Ty Johnson, RB, New York Jets (20% Rostered)

The WR waiver options aren't great this week, but running back isn't any better. Case and point: the two RBs on this week's list are New York Jets. Michael Carter dealing with an ankle issue and he's in danger of missing Week 12. If he's out, Ty Johnson and Tevin Coleman will be splitting the load for New York. Before posting a dud in Week 11, Johnson had been playing some pretty solid football, averaging 64.0 yards from scrimmage per game from Week 7-10. He could have some low-end FLEX appeal in 12-team PPR leagues if Carter sits this week.

3. Adam Trautman, TE, New Orleans Saints (7% Rostered)

(Updated Monday, Nov. 22, 5:30 p.m. EST): Adam Trautman has been ruled out for the next four-to-six weeks due to an MCL sprain. He can be left on the waiver wire.

Adam Trautman was one of the buzziest preseason sleepers in fantasy football, but he didn't do much to open the year. That's all started to change recently, though. The tight end has seen 21 targets over his last three outings, recording 14 catches for 137 yards and a score during that span. If you need help at tight end, Trautman is your best bet this week.

2. Tevin Coleman, RB, New York Jets (3% Rostered)

The second Jets' RB to make this list, Tevin Coleman should handle most of the rushing volume if Carter sits this week. That could be a very valuable role against the Houston Texans. Houston allows top-10 PPR production to opposing RBs and also own the league's sixth-worst rush defense DVOA rating. If Coleman gets the feature back role, he should be a rock-solid FLEX play this week.

1. Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers (51% Rostered)

We wrote about Cam Newton last week and he delivered immediately. Newton put up 26.16 points against the Washington Football Team, finishing as the QB4 in Week 12. His rushing output (10 carries for 46 yards and a TD) will put him in the QB1 conversation week in and week out. There's no way he should be rostered in just 51% of Yahoo leagues. Go get him if he's available.
