This one might surprise you, but Gonzaga is probably going to win the WCC Tournament. Shocking, I know.

But to get into it further, let's look at why Gonzaga is such a ridiculously overwhelming favorite to win for the ninth time in the last 10 years.

First of all, they're just the best team in college basketball. They're the favorites not only to win the WCC Tournament, but also to win the NCAA Tournament.

The average scoring margin in their games has been +23.3. That's the highest mark in the nation, and nobody else comes in with a mark better than +17.8.

The other big factor is the format of the WCC Tournament. It's basically set up to give the best teams as much advantage as possible.

As the No. 1 seed, Gonzaga gets a bye to the semifinals. They only need to win two games to win the tournament. The only other team in such an advantageous spot is Saint Mary's.
