VIDEO: Remembering When Tyler Lockett Burned the Panthers Defense for a 75-Yard TD Run

From early on in his career, it was clear Tyler Lockett would be a special player. As a rookie, he made the Pro Bowl and First-Team All-Pro as a kick returner, and he's emerged as the Seattle Seahawks' top wide receiver in the years since.

Impressed with his speed at Kansas State, the Seahawks traded up to draft Lockett in the 2015 NFL Draft. Lockett showed off his speed and talent in Week 13 of the 2016 season, when the Seahawks were facing off against the Carolina Panthers.

On the first play of the second half, Lockett took a carry in the backfield and sprinted past several Panthers defenders. After hitting the sideline, he turned on the jets and sped his way for a stunning 75-yard touchdown.

Lockett's play put the game completely out of reach, as the Seahawks would go on to win this one, 40-7. In 2019, Lockett has transformed into a great receiver and return man, tallying 1,057 receiving yards and 8 scores. Seahawks fans will be hoping to see more of this from Lockett in 2020.
