Part of the reason fans love the NFL so much is because of its huge hits, as well as the stiff-arms that counteract them. Here's a unique highlight from Steve Smith Sr. that could be considered both.
The great Steve Smith Sr. takes care of Adam "Pacman" Jones twice on this play, first by adjusting his route and burning the corner deep, and then again with a pulverizing stiff-arm. Smith throws Jones to the ground like a rag doll before finishing the 80-yard touchdown reception from Joe Flacco.
This play not only embarrassed Pacman, but it also gave the Baltimore Ravens the lead over the Cincinnati Bengals late in the fourth quarter, in what could have been a pivotal moment in this game. Unfortunately, the Ravens defense couldn't hold up either, giving up a long touchdown of their own to A.J. Green moments later.
Even so, this one will go down as a tremendous show of skill and strength by Steve Smith Sr. toward the end of his spectacular career. For Pacman Jones, it was another nail in the coffin.
