The storied rivarly between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears added another chapter on Sunday night as these teams squared off in primetime. It was the Packers who walked away with an easy 27-10 win, thanks in large part to the defense hounding Bears quarterback Justin Fields.
Star cornerback Jaire Alexander intercepted Fields late in the fourth quarter to officially seal the victory, and his commentary of that moment after the game was hilarious.
Alexander added both his insight and sound effects while rewatching the clip. He was then asked if Green Bay was playing man or zone on this play, and the Pro Bowler responded, "That was man with a little zoneeee. It was both." The way he holds the last part of "zone" during his voiceover is just straight-up funny.
It's no wonder Alexander was in such a good mood after the victory. The Packers' secondary blanketed Chicago's pass-catchers all night, limiting Fields to just 70 passing yards in the process. The fact the Bears QB only attempted 11 passes while trailing for nearly the entire game speaks volumes about how much Alexander and company locked up their opponent's receiving options.
With a few more plays like Sunday night's, Alexander would instantly vault into the Defensive Player of the Year conversation. Right now, NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook peg him as a long shot at +10000.
