The San Diego Padres won the MLB's Trade Deadline when their groundbreaking acquisition of superstar slugger Juan Soto. Soto joins an already-deep Padres lineup in the midst of his second All-Star campaign and provides an imposing challenge for opposing pitchers.

Padres fans are understandably over the moon for their new addition. To make things even sweeter, the Padres caught Soto's first-ever arrival into the home clubhouse on video. Check out the clip below.

Soto stands silently, clearly in admiration of his new locker all decked out in Padres gear. He then picks up a matte brown Padres helmet sitting in his chair, with a pondering expression that could be viewed as disbelief.

The moment got even sweeter when Fernando Tatis Jr. stepped into the clubhouse and paid his new teammate a visit.

The two, both hailing from the Dominican Republic, are considered good friends off the baseball diamond. They'll soon merge forces as Tatis continues to rehab back from a shoulder injury.
