Brandin Cooks might be the unhappiest player in the NFL right now.
Cooks was hoping to be traded from the Houston Texans prior to the NFL trade deadline on Nov. 1. When that did not happen, he promptly sat out the team's Thursday night game against the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles later that week.
While Cooks has since returned to the Texans, he clearly isn't happy about it based on his latest interview on Thursday.
Cooks expressed his disappointment with the team's struggles this year, as Houston has managed just one win so far with a 1-6-1 record. For a player like Cooks who has already played in two Super Bowls, that has to be frustrating.
The 29-year-old is currently in his ninth NFL season but is still searching for his first ring. With the Texans in a full rebuild, that's unlikely to happen in Houston anytime soon.
Regardless of his personal feelings, Cooks understands he still has a job to do and is expected to suit up on Sunday against the New York Giants. The Texans are currently listed as 5.5-point road underdogs for this Week 10 clash on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
