Twins Get Great News With Byron Buxton Rehab Update

Unfortunately, the Minnesota Twins have been one of baseball's most disappointing teams this season. As one of the American League's best last year, things have been all downhill in 2021, and that includes the loss of their best player.
Prior to his injury, Byron Buxton was lighting it up and even getting some early MVP chatter. The 27-year-old center fielder was hitting .370 with 9 home runs and 17 RBIs in just 24 games this season before hitting the IL. However, Buxton seems to be well on his way back to the Twins lineup after the newest update.
Buxton will be going on rehab assignment this week, getting in some actual game action.

Buxton's return, especially if he comes back playing like he was, will be an enormous boost to this Twins lineup that still ranks No. 10 in the MLB in runs per game while playing without him for a majority of the season.
If you're looking to turn your season around, getting back your best player is a great place to start, and that seems to be happening sooner rather than later for the Twins.
