Trent Williams Retirement Rumors
The 10-time Pro Bowler told Grant Gordon of NFL Network that he's "for sure" coming back for the 2023 season. Williams even suggested he'll play out the rest of his contract, which goes through the 2026 campaign.
"Next year, the year after. I'm under contract until I'm 39 [years old]."

This is massive news for San Francisco. Williams said after being eliminated from the postseason that the yearly grind "does get pretty grueling" as he enters the latter stage of his career. The accomplished offensive lineman also noted he's thinking about what comes in life after football since his world has centered around the sport for so long.
Williams' honesty regarding his playing future is admirable. No one would fault the 34-year-old if he wanted to call it a career after being one of the league's top talents at his position for over a decade. However, he seems determined to play as long as his body will allow him.
