Top Wide Receiver Prospect Spills Packers' Draft Plans

With the NFL Scouting Combine underway, teams are keeping a close eye on what their rivals are up to before the draft. The Green Bay Packers are full of mystery heading into April with several big personnel decisions up in the air.
However, one of Green Bay's objectives for the draft has been spilled by a top prospect.

Packers Draft Rumors
Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba was asked about his meeting with the Packers this week. He told reporters at the combine, "They are definitely looking for a receiver.”
Though it's obvious Green Bay could be a player for a top wideout during the draft, Smith-Njigba seems to have outed the team and made one of its intentions crystal clear. Fellow NFC contenders will surely appreciate the insight that Smith-Njigba happened to let slip.
Still, the Packers could go any number of directions at WR, so it's not like all of their secrets have been revealed. The first round is a projected landing spot for several prospects, though the second and third rounds are teeming with talent as well.
With Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs expected to lead this corps in 2023, it's clear a youth movement is underway in Green Bay's WR room.
