The tight end position is a pretty tricky one. Outside of a few elite producers at the top of the position, there just aren't that many reliable assets. That has proven more true than ever this season.

With the position producing so little, fantasy managers have been forced to win on the margins, which is why streaming the position (picking up a new TE each week based on matchups) can be so crucial.

Here are our top tight end streaming picks, rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues, to target in Week 15.

3. Dan Arnold, Arizona Cardinals (1% Rostered)

Starting a relative unknown like Dan Arnold is obviously nerve wracking, but he's playing really well right now. The Arizona Cardinals' tight end has put up double-digit PPR points in back-to-back weeks, averaging 2.0 catches for 44.0 receiving yards and 1.5 TDs per game in that time. The low volume makes him a risky, boom-or-bust option, but he's been fantasy's TE7 over his last two weeks. It's hard to ignore the production. Plus, his Week 15 opponent, the Philadelphia Eagles, surrender top-10 PPR production to opposing tight ends. He'd be a solid replacement for any fantasy manager that might've just lost Mike Gesicki due to injury.

2. Irv Smith Jr., Minnesota Vikings (6% Rostered)

Irv Smith Jr. could be in for a pretty decent showing here, but there's an important caveat fantasy managers need to be aware of: Kyle Rudolph's health. If Rudolph sits, as he did last week, Smith should find himself on the TE1 radar. Playing an expanded role in Week 14, Smith caught all 4 of his targets for 63 yards and a score. That was good for a weekly finish of TE3 in PPR formats. While a matchup with the Bears may look daunting on the surface, Chicago actually allows top-three PPR production to opposing tight ends. If Rudolph sits, look for Smith to have another big game.

1. Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears (6% Rostered)

Cole Kmet is our top streaming option of the week, and that should say all you need to know about the state of the position. Still, there's plenty of reason to like Kmet on Sunday. He's played at least 78% of the Bears' offensive snaps in three straight games now, while Jimmy Graham hasn't topped 50% since Week 10. Clearly, Kmet is establishing himself as the team's top dog at TE. He's also seen 7 targets in back-to-back games. There just aren't many waiver-wire TEs seeing that kind of volume. He's turned that opportunity into 9 catches for 78 yards and a TD, making him the TE11 in PPR formats during that span. The 6-foot-6 Kmet is a legit red zone threat to boot, and he's likely going to get more scoring opportunities than most waiver-wire TEs in Week 15.
