The tight end position can be a real headache if you miss out on those top-tier options this year. If you do miss out on those players, though, you might be better off streaming the position. Tight ends are more matchup dependent than most positions, so this strategy can really pay dividends if done well.
With that in mind, here are the three best tight ends, rostered in fewer than 50 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Football leagues, to stream for Week 1.
Fantasy TEs to Stream in Week 1
3. Greg Olsen, Seattle Seahawks (29% Owned)
The Seattle Seahawks' tight end has been more valuable than you think recently. Once he got his bearings, Will Dissly was actually the TE1 in PPR formats (Week 2-5) before going down with another devastating injury. Greg Olsen should be reliable in that No. 1 TE role for the Seahawks while he's on the field. Fully healthy for a game with shootout potential (49.5-point over/under), Olsen has a chance to start strong in 2020.
2. Tyler Eifert, Jacksonville Jaguars (15% Owned)
Tyler Eifert had a surprising bounce-back year in 2019, catching 43 balls for 436 yards. His Jacksonville Jaguars are 7.5-point underdogs against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1, and that could lead to the team playing catch-up all game. Eifert is always fantasy relevant when he's actually on the field, and most reports indicate he's both healthy and developing a nice chemistry with Gardner Minshew.
1. Eric Ebron, Pittsburgh Steelers (34% Rostered)
Eric Ebron has generated a ton of buzz in training camp. He's also facing the league's third-worst pass defense from 2019, per Football Outsiders' DVOA metrics. Ebron struggled last year due to injuries, but he could finish closer to his TE4 pace from 2018 if healthy. He's a great flyer to look at in Week 1.
