We're coming off a pretty solid outing with our top streaming quarterback picks for Week 7. All three players finished inside the top 13 at the position, and we would've hit even bigger were it not for a literal collapse from Daniel Jones.
With that in mind, here are our three best streaming quarterbacks picks, rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! leagues, for Week 8.
Fantasy QBs to Stream in Week 8
3. Derek Carr, Las Vegas Raiders (29% Rostered)
He's largely flown under the radar on the 3-3 Las Vegas Raiders, but Derek Carr is quietly playing some of the best football of his career. He's averaging 287.7 passing yards per game while tossing 13 touchdowns to 2 interceptions through 6 appearances. That's really impressive stuff. And his fantasy production has followed suit. Carr has now put up at least 19.3 points in three consecutive outings. Those last two games have also come against two top-five pass defenses in Football Outsiders' DVOA metrics. He's on fire right now and should have no problem torching the Cleveland Browns, who sit all the way down the list at No. 25.
2. Teddy Bridgewater, Carolina Panthers (44% Rostered)
Teddy Bridgewater is coming off yet another solid outing with the Carolina Panthers, and he's making his second consecutive appearance on this list. Teddy Two Gloves has gone over 19.0 fantasy points in four of his seven appearances this season, with two of his three down games coming against some of the best defenses in the league (the Buccaneers and Bears). His Week 8 opponent the Atlanta Falcons are certainly not one of those defenses. Atlanta is surrendering 333.4 passing yards per game (No. 31 in the NFL), and the Falcons are also allowing 27.6 fantasy points per game to opposing passers (No. 32). He's been consistent all year, but this matchup gives him real blowup potential.
1. Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers (30% Rostered)
Kyle Shanahan has been incredible over the last two weeks. With Jimmy Garoppolo playing on a bad ankle, he's devised a quick-hitting passing attack that allows Jimmy G to get the ball out of his hands quickly so his receivers can eat up yards after the catch. The plan has worked quite well, with the San Francisco 49ers' QB averaging 272.5 passing yards per game with 3 TDs in that span. He's playing pretty well and he should be at or approaching full health for a Week 8 date with the porous Seattle Seahawks' secondary. Seattle has been unbelievably bad against the pass, allowing opposing QBs to average a league-high 368.7 passing yards per game. As a result, signal-callers are averaging a whopping 26.4 fantasy points per game against the Seahawks (No. 31 in the NFL). A matchup with Pete Carroll's defense is a goldmine for fantasy managers right now, and Jimmy G could be putting up monster numbers in this one.
