Top 3 Cornerbacks Likely to Hit Free Agency This Offseason

With the increased emphasis on the passing game in the modern NFL, you can make a pretty convincing argument that cornerbacks are more important than ever. And that will likely bear itself out in free agency, as the top-tier CBs are likely going to cash in on the open market.
With that in mind, let's take a look at the top three corners set to hit free agency this offseason.
3. James Bradberry
James Bradberry is a great, if unheralded, cornerback. The Carolina Panthers' CB racked up three interceptions last season, and held opposing QB to a 70.1 passer rating when he was targeted in coverage. He'll be just 27 years old by the time next season kicks off, and he should have no shortage of suitors on the open market.
2. Chris Harris Jr.
Chris Harris Jr. is the most-accomplished CB available this offseason. A four-time Pro Bowler, he excels in the slot and has racked up eight interceptions over the past four seasons. While he regressed a bit in 2019, his first season back after an ACL tear the year prior, he should still be in for a big pay day, even at an advanced age.
1. Byron Jones
Byron Jones should still be viewed as the crown jewel of this class. A first-round pick in 2015, Jones' stock skyrocketed at the 2015 NFL Combine, where he tested out as an athletic freak. After a few down years at safety, Jones finally translated those gifts into production in 2018, even earning himself a trip to the Pro Bowl. He didn't make it in 2019, but the Dallas Cowboys' corner still held opposing QBs to 6.2 yards per target, and a 53.1 completion percentage. At just 27 years old, Jones will likely be the highest-paid CB from this class.
