This Thursday, March 28, the PGA Tour has a second tournament on the schedule outside of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play.

While there might not be too many of the world's top-ranked golfers playing in the Puntacana Championship, there will be one familiar name and well-known face teeing it up in Mexico on Thursday – former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

Romo is a known scratch golfer and has played on the Tour (the PGA Tour's minor league equivalent) in the past. He has also attempted to qualify for the U.S. Open multiple times.

Understandably, Romo's odds to win aren't very good. In fact, he's dead last, with the worst odds to take home the title at +100000.

Romo certainly has the talent to be in this tournament, but being able to hold up the winner's trophy will be a whole different story. One can assume that his goal is simply to try and make the cut, which would be an impressive accomplishment for a former professional football player.

With Romo's popularity skyrocketing once he became a color analyst for NFL games on CBS, it would be another notch on his belt if he's able to make any type of noise at this PGA Tour event.
