Detroit Lions fans had a reason to be worried after tight end T.J. Hockenson was listed as questionable in Week 5 due to a knee injury. Fortunately, the young pass-catcher is expected to play against the Minnesota Vikings. His fantasy outlook remains rock solid heading into a key divisional matchup.

T.J. Hockenson Fantasy Outlook

Fantasy managers drafted TJ Hockenson to be a TE1 and he hasn't disappointed through four weeks of action. The former Iowa standout has posted 215 receiving yards on 22 receptions and scored 2 touchdowns. He currently ranks as the TE5 in PPR scoring. averaging 14.4 points per game.

The Vikings are not an easy matchup by any means, but Hockenson has quickly become a favorite option for quarterback Jared Goff. In fact, he leads the team with 30 targets on the season and an average of 53.8 yards per game. That kind of production is rare for a tight end in fantasy football.

Hockenson's durability will go a long way into determining how valuable he is moving forward. The third-year pro has played in 86% of the offensive snaps so far and will get a chance to keep his momentum going on Sunday. Fantasy managers can start him with confidence once again.

Hockenson checks in at TE3 in The Duel's Week 5 fantasy football rankings.
