Week 6 is here, and Thursday Night Football kicks off with a clash between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles.

Thursday Night Football Fantasy Picks

If you need some help building your fantasy lineup, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Thursday Night Football matchup.

Tom Brady Fantasy

Start Tom Brady, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Tom Brady enters tonight's TNF matchup after torching the Miami Dolphins for 411 passing yards and 5 touchdowns. However, on paper, it looks like the Eagles pose a tough matchup after allowing 194.8 passing yards per game — the third-lowest average. Nevertheless, don't let that deter you from starting Brady. Philadelphia's average looks like that mostly from keeping the San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers below 200 passing yards. Even with a thumb injury, expect a big primetime performance from TB12.

DeVonta Smith Fantasy

Start DeVonta Smith, WR, Philadelphia Eagles: The 10th overall pick at this year's NFL draft, DeVonta Smith has lived up to the hype so far this season. He has 25 receptions for 314 yards and a touchdown through five games and could be in for a big performance against the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay is surrendering the most receiving yards (314.4) and the second-most fantasy points to wideouts (38.1) per game in 2021. With Smith seeing 8.0 targets per game and the Eagles likely playing from behind against the defending Super Bowl champs, it could be a busy night for the rookie.

Miles Sanders Fantasy

Sit Miles Sanders, RB, Philadelphia Eagles: Miles Sanders has been a fantasy disappointment. While he has 325 total yards from scrimmage on 64 touches, he's yet to find the end zone and has been held to 55 rushing yards or fewer in every game since Week 2. That probably isn't going to change this week because the Buccaneers have the NFL's best run defense. Tampa Bay has given up a league-best 45.8 rushing yards per game while allowing just one touchdown on the ground. With third-year running back struggling the way he has and the game script likely not favoring him, Sanders is an easy sit against the Buccaneers.

Cameron Brate Fantasy

Cameron Brate, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: After seeing what Rob Gronkowski did as Tampa Bay's No. 1 tight end before getting injured, it's easy to see why people would want to pivot to Cameron Brate. While everyone wants a piece of the Buccaneers' offense, it's clear that Brady doesn't view Brate in that same light. After seeing six targets in Week 4, Brate was targeted only once in last week's blowout against the Dolphins. He was also on the field for just 38% of the snaps. In other words, avoid Brate even if you're desperate.
