MTV's "The Challenge" has built a cult following since its inception in 1998. After a few months off, the show and its iconic host T.J. Lavin will make their epic return to the screen this Wednesday at 8 p.m. EST.

If the trailer is any indication, "The Challenge: Total Madness" could bring fans quite a spectacle on April Fool's Day, mixing some all-time legends, like Johnny Bananas, Wes and CT, with some new blood.

If you're looking for a little added investment this season, let's break down some of the top fantasy picks for the free-to-play tournament on FanDuel.

1. Bear

Bear is our top pick of the week. He doesn't have Banana's political savvy, and he's not an athlete like a prime CT, but Bear has one unique skill: causing chaos. Fantasy players can get points for a variety of things, like being shown in a confessional, hooking up with a cast member or causing a verbal altercation outside of challenges. Simply put, Bear has what it takes to fill up the stat sheet in a variety of categories, and he's a solid-enough athlete to boot. He's got a lot of upside this week.

2. Johnny Bananas

Johnny Bananas is arguably the most accomplished competitor in show history, and he has a rare knack for making his presence felt in a premiere. While he's not quite the athlete he used to be, he's almost certainly going to get a ton of screen time, and time in the confessionals, due to that illustrious resume. He's also arguably the most strategic mind on the show, making him a high-floor option on a weekly basis.

3. Jordan

Jordan is probably the best all-around athlete on the show this season. He's also frequently stirring up controversy and getting into altercations with the other competitors. Combining that unique athletic ability with his strategic game and fiery personality could make Jordan a high-floor, high-upside option week in and week out.
