The Washington Football Team released released tight end Thaddeus Moss on Friday, making him a free agent just one year after signing with Washington as a undrafted free agent.

Most spent the entire 2020 season on injured reserve. He's the son of Hall-of-Fame wide receiver Randy Moss. Thaddeus will now try to catch on with another team. A number of teams have a secondary need at tight end. Moss has not yet played or been able to prove his ability in the NFL, but he could be a low-cost, low-risk addition.

Here are Thaddeus Moss' most likely free-agent landing spots.

Thaddeus Moss Free Agent Rumors

3. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills could use some help at tight end. The team's top tight end in 2020 was Dawson Knox, who caught 24 passes for 288 yards. Moss remains a risk with a history of multiple foot injuries, but the 6-foot-2, 250-pound player is a low-risk flyer that could develop on the practice squad while learning the system.

2. Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders and Dolphins have secondary needs at tight end as well, but Las Vegas could be a better fit for Moss' strength in blocking. His draft profile had shown a good understanding of blocking assignments as a pass protector, but also reliable hands as a pass catcher. Head coach Jon Gruden has time to develop Moss behind Darren Waller, but the Raiders lack quality depth at tight end. If he can stay healthy, Moss could be a nice backup option down the road.

1. Cincinnati Bengals

Moss established himself primarily as a solid blocker in his final season at LSU. But don't discount what he can do as a receiver. He lined up at a variety of positions for the offense, led by QB Joe Burrow, and he racked up 570 receiving yards and 4 touchdowns. The Bengals top tight end in 2020 was Drew Sample, who caught 40 passes for 349 yards while C.J. Uzomah missed most the season due to injury. Moss could be a good backup and rotational player for a team willing to use his skills. A return to partner with Burrow and the Bengals could be the restart he needs.
