Going through a remarkably divisive offseason, the Houston Texans don't look like the contenders they once were. The team has lost a lot of top-tier talent over the last calendar year, including players like DeAndre Hopkins and Jadeveon Clowney. Still, with a star like Deshaun Watson at the helm, this team is never really going to be out of contention.

With that in mind, here's a full preview of the Texans' 2020 NFL season potential outcomes and projected achievements, according to odds from FanDuel Sportsbook.

Texans Win Total

The oddsmakers are projecting a pretty significant regression from Houston, as the team's 2020 win total has been given an over/under of 7.5. For what it's worth, the over (-120) is a slight favorite against the under (+100).

Watson has notably never finished an NFL season below .500 as the starter, though. He's won at least 10 games in each of the last two seasons, and even went 3-3 in his injury-shortened rookie campaign.

Texans Odds to Make NFL Playoffs

Houston's odds to make the NFL Playoffs tell a similar story. The team is available at +144 to make the playoffs, and is listed at -178 to miss the postseason.

Texans Odds to Win AFC South

Even in what projects to be a potentially weaker division, the Texans only have the third-best odds (+280) to win the AFC South. They're listed behind the Indianapolis Colts (+135) and the Tennessee Titans (+155), though the Texans are ahead of the last-place Jacksonville Jaguars (+1900).

Texans Odds to Win AFC Championship

Given their lackluster odds to clinch a postseason berth, it should come as no surprise that the team doesn't seem to be a legitimate threat to win the AFC, either. At +2200, the Texans have the 10th-best odds in the conference. That also gives them an implied probability of 4.3 percent at making a Super Bowl appearance.

Texans Odds to Win Super Bowl LV

The team is also tied with the Atlanta Falcons at No. 20 in the odds to win Super Bowl LV, at +4400, which is an implied probability of 2.2 percent. If these odds are any indication, Bill O'Brien and the Texans could be in for a down year in 2020.
