The Cincinnati Bengals' offense has been a good one for fantasy football with Joe Burrow back under center in 2021, and the latest injury update to Tee Higgins makes things even more exciting for Tyler Boyd and Ja'Marr Chase in Week 3.
Higgins is not expected to play due to a shoulder injury, which should be a huge boon for Boyd and Chase in fantasy football, despite their matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Higgins leads the Bengals in targets to start the year, with his 15 accounting for 27.3% of the team's total. Boyd (13) and Chase (11) aren't far behind in targets, and no other wide receiver on the team has more than 3.
This tight distribution of Burrow's targets means that we should expect Boyd and Chase to soak up the majority of what Higgins vacates. That's especially true because Higgins is the most do-it-all receiver in the group. Chase has a 17.8-yard average depth of target (aDOT) while Boyd's sits at 4.9 yards, suggesting that Chase should take some additional deep work while more underneath looks will be available for Boyd.
The Steelers defense is no joke, but volume is king in fantasy football and both Boyd and Chase should see more than enough to return some serious value on Sunday.
