Now that most teams have played somewhere around 50 games in the 2019 season, the contenders are starting to separate themselves from the pack. The New York Yankees and Houston Astros look like the top dogs in the AL right now, while the Los Angeles Dodgers are starting to run away with the NL West.

If you need some help with your Week 9 MLB survivor picks, The Duel releases weekly picks to help you win your survivor pool. Here are three survivor picks for Week 9 of the MLB season.

The Tampa Bay Rays have been great this season, and they open the week with a three-game set against the 20-32 Toronto Blue Jays. The Rays then return home to face the Minnesota Twins in a four-game series. If the Rays can get a couple easy wins against the Blue Jays, they should be able to pull out one or two wins against the Twins and finish above .500 for the week.

2. Los Angeles Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been one of the best teams in the MLB thus far, and they get the benefit of playing six home games this week. Los Angeles opens the week with a three-game series against the New York Mets, then closes out with a three-game set against the Philadelphia Phillies. While the Phillies have been great (31-21), they've been far less effective on the road, going just 13-11. Additionally, the Dodgers are 19-6 at home this season.

The San Francisco Giants haven't exactly been great this season, but they should benefit from playing two of the worst teams in the MLB this week. The Giants open the week with a three-game set against the 16-33 Miami Marlins before heading to Baltimore to play the 16-36 Orioles. With six games against two teams that are well below .500, the Giants have a good shot at getting at least three wins.
