Super Bowl Props: Gatorade Color Prop Bet Comes Up Blue as Buccaneers Defeat Chiefs
By Max Staley
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers won Super Bowl LV with a 31-9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. And after the game, bettors finally got the long-awaited answer to one of the most popular prop bets in the country.
What Color Was the Super Bowl Gatorade Shower?
After the Bucs secured the Lombardi Trophy, the players snuck up behind Bruce Arians and doused him with blue Gatorade. The odds for the post-game Gatorade shower to use blue colored Gatorade were available at +400, per FanDuel Sportsbook. It was tough to see because the broadcast cut away early, but other angles showed it came up blue.
Notably, blue had the third-best odds prior to kickoff, so this netted bettors a decent payout. Blue also experienced a surge in the odds as we approached kickoff, moving from +750 to open the week before settling at +400.
This was the second time in the last three Super Bowls that the winning team doused their coach in blue Gatorade.
